hello everyone.
owner of a 2000 red, 4dr, 93, manual. i was drving last night and i missed 4th gear and put it in 2nd. the rpms shot up, (way higher than they are suppose to be) couldnt exactly say what they got up to. anyway. it will start by pumping the gas but it stalls out when idling low. i didnt drive after i just got it towed in. has anyone had this problem before, and what is the dealer going to ask me?? could i just say the car just stopped, or how will the warrenty work out?? one guy suggested the timing belt skiped and notch or something like that. the exhaust didnt sound good, kind of a puffing sound. after we started it i didnt see any engine lights come on or any liquid draining from the car. well if anyone has any input on this please feel free to reply. and any ideas on how to go about it with the dealer/repair place. its leased with 24,000 miles and exactly one year. well thanks again.
