I took a look at all of the brands you mentioned prior to purchasing my 9-3 SE and came to the conclusion that the Saab was the best.
Volvo has serious fit-and-finish as well as reliability issues. This is pretty well documented on the Internet.
The seats in the VW were uncomfortable.
The Acura felt gutless compared to the high output turbo.
One test drive and I was sold.
I have had no reliability issues. Torque steer is minimal and have had no alignment issues.
I say go for it... I think it's one hell of a car.
