WHy didn't you say that in the first place. I have a base that I drove for a while with 16" OEM wheels and 205/50-16 pilot sx-GT. I went back to the stock setup this winter and frankly, it suits the car better, at least for me. The pilots wore fine, perhaps about 20K on them and plenty of tread left. But the tread noise was beginning to get to me, really no fun above 70 mph, and the car felt a bit too twitchy to me on high speed sweepers- too much correction needed. I suspect it may have had something to do with the "extra tire" bringing out the shortcomings of the suspension. I apologize for sounding like a pr-ck. One of the posters seemed to have such a "BMW-attitude" that it brought the worst out of me. I wish Saab well and hope they eventually become "succesful" but it looks like it will ba a minivan for me soon anyway. Gee, that MPV has 17" wheels on it, I woonder how much tire I can stuff into those wells?
