Wow... what an amazing change for the better.
I have an '01 9-3 and I love the classic SAAB feel but c'mon - lets face it - that style/shape/interior layout is outdated and in order for SAAB to compete, they need to "upgrade." I think, especially after looking at the hi-def. pictures, that they have done that quite effectively without losing their heritage.
It's beautiful to look at from the outside but that interior just plain ROCKS.
Likes : Just about everything but especially the new dash layout - location of the SID, tiptronic-like controls on the steering wheel, gauges, etc. The colors and format are very easy to read. Also really liked the Bi-Xenon option, backend design, new Aero wheels and more supportive-looking seats.
Dislikes : It appears as though headlight washers are optional now. They appear in some pictures but not others. Can this be true? I know - picky - but where I live these things are a huge help in the winter. The navi. system will most likely be unavailable in the U.S.???? :( The front still has a little bit of the old style in it but that is classic SAAB so in the grand scheme of things, I think I'm okay with it.
Just my $.02.
BTW - the CD changer is in the center console.
