First, there's also a hardware upgrade. New synchros or something...
http://www.genuinesaab.com/psi/93-95-trans-update.htm
I don't know if that's required in order to use the new oil.
1) '01 9³ (base) with about 31,000 miles
2) Subtle sticking in gear. Doesn't take too much effort to pull into neutral, but there's a definite sensation of breaking it loose. It doesn't happen very often, maybe 50 times in 30k miles.
3) No repairs done. By the VIN I've got the updated hardware, but I have the older synthetic oil.
4) I told the dealer (once) about sticking in gear, they couldn't duplicate it. Not surprising - it really doesn't happen very often. Other people have told of troubles much worse than mine.
7) They should give me an '04 Vector. With a hatchback.
No, seriously... I understand that they have to see the problem for themselves before messing around. I'd change it myself if they gave me the oil.
