I have 70k miles on my Viggen, largely long distance stuff, maybe 40% highway 45% back roads 15% urban and I just replaced my rear pads at 69k. The fronts are still good for a while longer. The rear discs were corroded (pitted) enough to replace but not excessively worn. I see no reason to fear the braking system or pads on this car, but suspect the prior owner of this car lived in a city and braked (broke?) often. My MAS went at 45k, repl. under warranty.
You have little risk here as it still has plenty of warranty left. If you really have an "in" at the service dept. then you can ask them to give it the real once-over at about 45-48k miles and they'll gladly replace any marginal compponents. It'll give them a nice work order billable to Atlanta HQ. My dealer replaced a good part of my exhaust and various other goodies just before the warranty expired.
good luck
PS-depreciation is your worst enemy on this car, IMHO
