So if there was an uneven deposit of kelvar residue on the rotor, we know that these brakes really bite when they get some heat as the organics get sticky and adhesive/viscous (can't spell today...) action occurs.
I really think that this is something that you can burn off. The rotors may be perfectly true. Yes, some would conclude otherwise and machine the rotors. That would remove the organics and they would become very self assured in their conclusions. And as the article on such things stated, after a periond of brake wear, where high temperatures have not been created, organics can be exposed and uneven deposits on the rotor can occur.
I have had tranient issues of this type and have found that I can burn the problem away with some agressive braking. Now I do some 'late' braking to push up the temperatures from time to time. This does not generate 'wife approval'.
