One of these days I will get around to posting a schpeal about the audio upgrade on my '03 Vector - I have a load of pictures, but nowhere to post them. But to make a comment, the front dash speakers are 3 1/2", and I was able to replace them with Infinity Kappa 32.5cf's. They are a tight fit, especially in tweeter height. I had to shave down the underside of the grill above the tweeter to gain a few extra millimeters. Those speakers have external passive crossovers and you have to fit those under the speakers in the dash. I think a 4" speaker might be pushing it without some hacking of the dash - something I wanted to stay away from. I put the Kappa 42.5i's in the back package tray, so I am quite aware how much larger they are...
The system rocks and I highly recommend it, but not everything is plug-and-play. The 6x9's are pretty easy, but the 6 1/2" door speakers require some extra work. If anybody wants more information on the installs, let me know. It is a very unique system design from the factory (I had the 300W 13 speaker system).
