First - the stock bar is completely inadequate. I have had both the stage I and stage II bars from Taliaferro on my viggen. I did this after I had installed steering rack clamp and brace, subframe brace and Koni Sport shocks.
Stage II is the better bar for the car. The car handles very neutral - It feels great now (although going from stock to stage I was an incredible difference). The stiffer the better if you want a good handling car when the front end has been stiffened up too. The only drawback is I drive too fast on the back roads, and often find myself talking the long way home!
Hmm - maybe I'll just take out the suspension and bolt the axles straight to the frame :-)
I have a pic of my Viggen at Summit Pt raceway going around the carousel (two opposite >90deg turns). In the pic the car is almost not swaying at all in the middle of the turn. I'll have to scan it one of these days. Can't wait to get back to Summit Pt in May.
Now if I could only get the front tires to stick better when accelerating out of the turns I'd be in good shape.
