I'm actually having some problems with my brake calipers as well.
Just had my mechanic put on koni shocks and springs on all four corners, and while he was at it, he installed zimmerman rotors and satisfied pads on the front.
I looked at the old pads he took off, had said beforehand that the person before me had stuffed the brakes (e.g. installed new pads when rotors should have been changed as well). The outer pad was barely touched, had most, if not all, of its pad life left, but the inner pads (closest to the engine) were bored down to the metal.
After driving now for about three weeks, I was concerned, and had someone press the brake while I looked at the pads/calipers. Outer pads are not moving, therefore my guess is the outer piston on both sides is frozen.

Whats the best way to 'unfreeze' the piston?
Has this happened to anyone else? Or is there a cause for this to happen?

I know I've gone on a bit of a tangent, but I really want to make sure my brakes are 100%, that, and I want an excuse to take my caliper off so i can paint the rotors and caliper.
