I'm planning to go get a large C-clamp and see if I can't get a little better purchase on it than I'm getting with the channel-locks. The rubber boot that protects the piston is shot- it tore like tissue paper as I tried to compress the piston, and it looks as if it's been torn at the top for a while. IS it possible to replace just that rubber sleeve (which would entail rebuilding the caliper), or should I just pop for a rebuilt one and get it over with?
