With the rear sway bar and rack clamp, one can develop much higher cornering forces. This also means that the upper strut mounts and the three strut soft bushings also take higher loads. So one should not ignore the possibility that these are now the aged and weak link.
By inspection, one can see if the rubber strip on the clamp has shifted. A material that is less rubbery might be better, such as a gasket fiber stock or a fabic filled rubber. The adheasive was a problem, do not over look that.
With a helper and parked, watch the rack and clamp as the wheel is turner back and forth, only enough to NOT scrub the tires on the pavement. (scrub test) watch for movement at the strut tops and rack. If your model has covers over the strut tops, you probably have to remove those and then apply the nuts without. No need to worry about anything when the vehicle is on the ground. When refitting, remember that those nuts and studs are small , and that they go into diecast zinc... do not bust them off.
The control arm bushings are important and these need to be inspected.
