Don't fret, my '97 900S convinced me to buy another Saab, an '02 9-3 SE and yes it's had a few warranty items but all in all it's a beautiful car, fast, comfy, roomy, and funky enough to keep middle America away. My '97 has gone 179k with very few problems so good we kept it. The '02 should be the same. I think you need to visit VW sites, BMW sites, and Audi sites you'll find all cars have problems, Saab is really no different if it's under warranty and it doesn't strand you, NBD. A plus is shoving something really big into the back when it won't fit in most sedans, try that with any other brand, Oh and the SE has returned 32MPG highway pretty consistently.
