Remember, this forum--like any--is going to be filled with questions seeking help with a problem, or complaints about things that have failed. It's human nature to speak up when you're annoyed and sit quietly when everything's great.
HERE'S MY GOOD STORY...
Bought my 2000 Viggen 3 years ago at around 35k miles. Have put on 30k miles myself and this is the most enjoyable car I've owned in 30 years of driving. Fabulous combination of solid feel, room, comfort, utility, economy, and performance. And, yup, the thing's reliable too. I've replaced brake pads & an exhaust flex pipe, and fixed one rattle. No bent rims, no DI failure, no sludge, no drivetrain problems, no electrical failures... the things just does what it's asked. Lovely. Back in the '80s we owned a classic 900S for 9 years... also a fantastic car.
Hopefully after some initial fixes you'll have yourself a fine car for many years.
