My 1999 still has original shocks/struts and the car is still very tight and responds very well over all sorts of bumpy roads.
With other cars I have owned it was pretty noticable that the car was bouncing a lot more, felt out of control. There was even some signs of leaks on the struts.
My 93 SE squeaks when it is really cold, but I am not going to dig in and change bushings until it is time to do the struts. No sense having to do things twice.
