this post got some really great responses. my 900 has 120,000 miles, did my struts/shocks at 70,000. put Bilstein HDs on it. the ride was overly harsh, but I left them on until now. I am in the process of replacing struts (Bilstein touring), shocks, strut bearings and mounts, front springs (OEM), tie rod ends, all the bushings up front (the hydraulic ones were leaky, the rest were pretty tired). plus I scored some Viking wheels on Craig's list, so they will go on with some new rubber will go on at the end. final analysis: the cars will go a long time with original suspension parts, but by when you replace them you are glad you did. it's like driving a new car. combine that with some new brakes, and whoooeee...
