Just did mine at 115K on a 1994 coupe. Driving has been 99% on pavement. It probably could have gone another 5-10K if I had thought to just replace rears. There were the typical creaks and groans and distorted strut bushings... the main driving issue was harsh slamming into bumps at speed (known prblem for 94 model), followed by progressively scary hopping sliding feel during braking into a turn (especially taking exits off hwy.).
struts on removal had no leaks (stock sachs boge); strut bushings were shot, bearings were very good and are now saved for reuse.
Make sure you do an under-car inspection of ball joint boots following strut replacement -- the shop mechs will split them without you being any the wiser...
