We had a few posts a long time ago where that happened.

The anti frost switch fails and causes the compressor to keep running when it should have switched off the compressor. The result is the compressor keeps running under adverse conditions. The compressor overheats then cycles on the overheat switch and that fails because it was not designed for cycling.

Your bypassing of the anti-frost switch will not change anything.
