I think the video quality does not do justice to the actual sound, it is much more rhythmic (I think it is because I am moving the camera around so much). There wasn't any noticeable amount of metal in the oil pan.
I am going to check out the balance chain this weekend. Any tips at getting to it and checking it? I have heard that if it is loose it can just be cut off, does anyone know if this is true and what the repercussions might be?
In hindsight, I agree, I should have done more investigating. This was my first try at undertaking any thing of this magnitude, so it is a major learning process for me.
This forum has been an amazing resource. Thank you all for your help and guidance (and patience).
