Sitton took over the Saab line from Fairway a few years ago. When Fairway had it, they had a decent staff that knew and loved Saabs, and sold them alongside with Subarus and Isuzus (there's a blast from the past).
Not only is the service poor at Sitton - I've had the whole key issue too - the parts prices are the highest I've seen anywhere. They obviously took on the brand without knowing what they were getting into! My 2006 9.5 is almost out of warranty, and you can be they won't see it again afterwards! I was under the hood yesterday, and actually found an electrical coupling on an intake sensor that had been removed during one of the "services" and had naked connectors sitting in water! I guess I should try to make them fix it, but will bet $100 that they'll deny responsibility...I sure didn't do it!
I recently melted a piston in my '00 Viggen (yes, it's tuned), and am now totally clueless as to where to find someone competent to tear into the engine. Doesn't seem that the "upstate SC" area is too interested in Saabs! Anybody know of a good shop here that will tackle this?
