Good morning everyone!
Wondering if anyone can give me a pointer here. I'm trying to replace my rear rotors and pads on my 2000 9-3 (base model). I fought with getting the drivers side off yesterday but I just can't get the passengers side off.
If I twist and pull (and pound a bit) on the rotor it will almost come off the hub but I can feel a spring like pressure the closer it gets to coming off.
When I did the other side yesterday, I think I got lucky. I was at the same point but then pushed, pulled, prodded, and, yes, banged on it. Then it just seemed to come loose... In retrospect, I'm kind of wondering if I just broke something.
After some web searching, I'm pretty sure it has to do with the emergency/parking brake but I can't, for the life of me, find the adjuster.
This site shows the general rotor procedure:

And I found another photo more specifically here:

If I read it correctly, it should be at the bottom of the rotor, with the adjustor below (to the outside). It looks like they're using a flat head screwdriver to adjust.
Also, a pin came out the back. It had a head like a nail and a small flat head. That didn't happen yesterday. And it doesn't really seem like it should have come out. There's a second pin on the other side of the aseembly that is loose. I can't help but wonder what the purposes of these is and that, perhaps, it has to do with holding the springs and whatnot in place for the emergency/parking brake. I hope not...
Any insight would be much appreciated!
