The throttle body was replaced about a year ago - I was out of the country when the car died while my wife was driving it. It was towed to a local (non-Saab) shop which diagnosed a problem with the TB and we eventually decided to go with a rebuilt unit from BBA since that seemed to be the lowest cost and fastest solution given that I was halfway around the world for another 15 days and my wife needed a car. The Saab indy I use in Northern Virginia has been critical of this solution, but it is what it is and the suggestion to check the ECM and update/reprogram came from them.
I would love to get a second opinion on this, so if anyone cares to offer the names of local indy shops they like in this area I am open to alternatives.
