Really bad shift problem. Please give me a clue. TY ! Posted by Nicholas [Email] (#2995) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Nicholas) on Thu, 11 Aug 2011 12:20:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Recently my 2000 9-3 was going through the throws of the "limp home" mode and I didn't realize the problem. While driving it with the idle messed, the car (5 speed) suddenly became very very difficult to shift. When the problem first happened I was idling along at about 30mph and was unable to shift into any gear without some serious force and grinding.
I've since fixed the limp home problem, and the car starts up and idles just fine. However, I can't go anywhere because it's like the clutch isn't engaging or something. I've got to turn the engine off to get it in reverse :( I'm assuming I might have thrown something off when I went through all this, but I'm not sure what. I can see the linkages moving inside the engine compartment when the stick is moved about. However, beyond that I'm just not sure. I'm pretty sure my clutch didn't wear out all at once like this, so maybe there is something else? Thanks much for any help!
