Here's a shot of mine before the work. That whole lip hangs into the airstream, it's really obvious if you leave the rubber clamp attached and look through (not pictured...). Ugly.
The rework makes a huge difference in smoothness. If you also take the this time to also clean the throttle body, check all the vacuum hoses, tighten all the turbo plumbing, especially on older NGs, it's nothing short of a tranformation.
95 900SET, and the HBC@15psi didn't hurt, either.
