Fascinating development: I hooked up the code reader while driving. the engine failed again, this time with a new ignition cassette installed, and two codes came out: the manufacturer's P1230 and a generic code - P0304, which is listed as a detected misfire in cylinder 4. Interestingly, once i cleared the codes with the code reader(rather than disconnecting the battery) the car would restart with no problem (even while running, i would just push "Erase - Yes" and it would simply clutch start as i was rolling, without a hitch). Is this usual for a code to prevent the engine restarting? Is it possible that it's the ignition switch causing this type of misfire? I believe my turbo problem is related to a bad Boost Control Valve (any ideas?)
