My 02 SE HOT didn't have the update but I wasn't to obsessed on the issue because it was a California car that came east and never saw winter weather. Anything that's lived its entire life in the north is worth being more serious about the PCV. The only trouble I've had over 5 years of ownership is an AC bearing and the drive gear for the hydraulic top motor is starting to fail.
