I stored my convertible in our garage last winter. The fuel tank was nearly full, I added an entire bottle of Sta-bil then drove the car around the block to be sure the treated fuel was throughout the entire system, changed the oil and filter prior to going into storage, connected a Battery Tender (the wall wart style version,) and monitored tire pressure periodically throughout the winter.
Car went into storage around November 1st, came out of storage around April 1st, and was started a couple times during mid-winter because I needed to back it our of its garage stall to access special tools for maintenance on our other two cars.
No problems with this five months of storage.
