Clunk in front end over sharp bumps in 2000 Viggen

I'm still chasing this problem in our 2000 Viggen. It's been a while, but so far I've personally replaced 3 engine mounts, sway bar end links, inner tie rod bushings. Struts and strut tops have also been replaced (at least per the shop that did this work), and when it didn't solve the problem I had them double check that they had everything tight and they did. I am a bit annoyed that they sold me struts for no reason, but this is a while ago now.
Everything I read about the symptoms of a loose subframe is that it clunks when going in reverse or starting out going forward because it is moving longitudinally. This is a clunk that only happens over sharp bumps where the wheel is moving up. Also, if I let the clutch out quickly when changing gear, I get what sounds like the same clunk, but abbreviated. If I lug the engine to the point where the engine is shaking, there's a lot of rapid clunking. What the heck could this be?
If I were deaf, I wouldn't know there is anything wrong because the car drives fine and I don't even feel anything through the wheel. If sounds like it's coming directly from in front of the driver, likely low, but I can't be sure.
Ball joints are not very old. Stanchion arm bushings have never been replaced. Any way to check whether they are bad? The car has about 161k miles on it.
Any thoughts? Thanks!
