aluminum. It doesn't seem to clip onto the rail as the original one did, but it looks pretty awesome otherwise. Looks like a solid fix.

Maybe best to just replace one door at a time. Perhaps the other side is probably on its way out but might have a few years left in it. Or maybe best to just replace it proactively?

Is it safe to assume that I don't need a whole new regulator and that it's just the piece? The car has about 50k miles. I hit the button to drop the window and heard something break. It must be just that piece that broke.

Anything to watch out for when removing the door panel?
