Interesting. Yea, I hardly ever opened the window. Just tested it right before the car wash and then...it broke. So I think it's very likely that plastic piece, so I'll get the Taliaferro and cross my fingers it's nothing else.

Is the rivet situation difficult? I wouldn't want to scratch any of the old paint off from the door? What about putting it back on? What kind of rivets to use? I'll make sure to do this in the summer time so parts aren't as brittle and prone to breaking (such as plastic pieces).
