SAABTECH just shakes his head.
You should have came to this board sooner and asked around. I would have laid it on you FIRST THING. In fact the problem is so bad that I dont allow Saab 900ng with a 6 cyl in my shop. They are a problem waiting to happen. I tell the customer with a v6 ....you dont belive me, just wait and see.
I usually come highly recommended and feel that if these people are good enough to seek out my services ... Im good enough to guide them.
Most owners bail out soon after or they remember my words as the dreded phone call comes in from the repair shop with a $5900.00 if we can fix it or $11000.00 if we have to replace it!
I do allot of communications with Saab owners on service and repair issues ...In fact I have over 100 questions on que at this moment. So this is not a new issue. What concerns me is the flag ship 9-5 has the v6 option and the fact that ...?... hangs its name on the v6 motor.
Keep you kidney and run like hell.
The 2.0L 4cyl turbo is perhaps the best gas motor ever made.
