The leather in your car has been clearcoated. Its not like leather in Aston Martin's or old Jaguar's that are vat dyed and have no coating. Hide food is "feeding" nothing and is the wrong product to use.
You can use the leather cleaner of your choice (I use Eagle One and Pinnacle) and protect with a water-based product with UV protection, like 303 Aerospace or Vinylex.
I'm not sure what you mean about dryness. What are you comparing the feel too?
