I learned I've been wasting my time with Hyde Food Posted by Ken [Email] (#2113) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ken) on Fri, 13 Jun 2003 12:07:49 In Reply to: So, what have we learned?, MikeG, Thu, 12 Jun 2003 12:40:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I did the water test on my '99 9-3 SE convertible. Not a single drop got absorbed by the leather, suggesting either that my seats are clearcoated, or that the Saab leather conditioner and/or the Connelly Hyde Food I have tried in the past has formed a protective barrier protecting the leather. I'm guessing Bret is correct, which means that I am wasting my time using these products.
All I want to know if what can I use, if anything, to keep my seats from cracking? They are exposed to lots of direct sun, and it seems that no moisture replenishing conditioners will not permeate through the clearcoat.
