Not Just: Cynicism, jadedness? ~311mi NW from Baltimore, Sounds like Cornell law school. Wassab: I'm just finishing up my first year at Albany Law School, currently taking a break from studying Criminal Law... While it wasnt fun and games, my first year really was not as hellacious as it is often made out to be. Its like undergrad, but with actual homework and classes and studying. If you like learning and interacting with other literate, articulate and driven people you'll enjoy it - I did. The competition and anxiety in the air gets palpable when the on campus job interviews and finals start, but throughout the year, life isnt bad; I dont know what the campus culture at UM is like, but here, and at SU law it is work hard play HARD. That Law School ID card opens doors like you wouldn't believe. Solo test drives (a TT and a WRX in my case) are now ok. Finals this semester has consisted of 2 weeks of legit 9am to 11 pm days with my nose in a book, coffee and donuts and pizza for meals. Expect to gain 1 pound and 1 grey hair per Restatement learned.
