The whole thing is lit up, and on a clear night, you can see pretty much all of the city. It's been a while, and I'm trying to shake the cobwebs out of my memory for this one...
You must definately try the baguette experience. Fresh baked bread eaten at a street-side cafe...can't beat that anywhere.
I was mildly disappointed with the Louvre. Sure, it's huge and all, but I think we spent a whole day there. Try to find out what exhibits are there before you go, and spend maybe half a day there. If the day is supposed to be hot outside, make that your afternoon destination. Your kids will appreciate that.
If I can remember anything else, I'll let you know.
Have a great trip!
Cheers,
Mark
