Yesterday evening, I was minding my own business, walking up the stairs onto my deck. I'm about 2 feet from the door when this little bugger zaps me behind the knee. At the time, I had no idea what it was, but figured that it was a one-off incident, and a minor annoyance (insert got me once, shame on you...got me twice, shame on me joke here).
Later that night, again I'm on the deck, but this time the little jerk brings some friends, and assaults me. 4 stings later and multiple expletives echoing through the neighbourhood, I vow to get my revenge.
It turns out that I have a little wasp nest underneath my stairs (maybe 2" in diameter, but am unsure about the height...didn't really feel like meeting the rest of the family). Any tips on removing this thing? I know not to go in there with a stick and poke it...
What I've learned so far from various internet sources is to attack them at night, when they're all in the nest. A spray would work too, but how far do I have to be from the nest to make it work effectively? I have pretty much accepted the fact that I'll probably get attacked again tonight, but I can deal with that knowing that they chose to mess with the wrong person.
Thanks for the help!
Cheers,
Mark
