This probably extends to all dealers of manufacturers that have CPO-type programs.
I used to run a customer sat program for Hyundai when they first had cars in the US. They were horrible cars, but the cust sat program really helped and made a diffference to those dealers who cared and to the customers who were buying a bottom-feeder car.
Dealers will forever be independent, but the good ones will remain strong because the word of mouth on them, reinforced by Saabnet and its lesser equivalents, can be quite powerful. OTOH, the "bad" dealers can be at risk, although without a formal program to monitor them it's up to car buyers to keep them as honest as they are likely to get.
