I agree. I can't even begin to tell you how many friggin times the idiots in Chicago just sit at 55!! in the left lane! Cell or not they just sit there with the attitude of not knowing any better. Oivay! Take a driving lesson people!
Anyway, Texas, by comparison, was much better, at least in the Austin and south of Austin areas that I grew up in. Generally, people just don't drive in the left lane on the less frequented highways and on the frequented ones the left is definitely about 10-15 mph on average faster than the right ones.
Maybe the fastest area though I've ever been around is when I was a grad student in Ann Arbor at UM. Those crazy E. Michigan people were always going at least 90 in all of the 4 lanes leading out to the airport and into Detroit. I loved it!!
