We're a full rehab facility already... We do thousands of animals a year. The squirrels go through a soft release program that allows them to come back to their cage for shelter and food for about 10 days. I have a 4 foot by 6 foot outdoor cage where they learn how to climb and jump before being released. I've been through quite a bit of vet training in order to be certified for rehab through Wildlife Rescue. In California, it is against the law to keep any wildlife as a pet, so none of our animals are ever put up for adoption. We also only do local wildlife and no domestic animals. We refer those to places like the Humane Society.
These guys are all set to be cared for through their rehab, jumping and climbing training, and most importantly, how to open Walnuts and Almond shells!
