Hi Matt,
I have owned Audi's, BMW's and lately two Saab Aero's. I drove the new A4's (1.8 & 3.0) & A6's (2.7T) extensively and thoroughly enjoyed them. My last Audi was a 2001 tt w/225hp and a six speed. I found the 1.8t A4 to be a neat car with a LOT of hidden horsepower to be had - plus the awd is great. I liked the 3.0 better - with a sport package and six-speed tranny. It was pricey @ $39K without much in the way of a discount and the A6 2.7t was nearly $44K. The Saab (both 9-3 and 95 Aero was so heavily discounted that I couldn't refuse and ended up in August with an '03 Aero Wagon @ $33K).
Good luck in your decision....
PS - I will say that the Saab group is the most dedicated and enjoyable group from the perspective of a web-presence (I belong to the BMWCCA, Quattro Club and of course, our beloved Saab group)
Best,
Eric
