Well, a very good freind has an 03 A4 3.0 Quattro 6 speed Sport. I have an 03 9-3 Linear, Launch/Sport/Touring pkg.

The Audi has a beautifully finished interior. I'll give it that. But the Saab, has a well finished interior, too. It just doesn't have all of the glitter, which I could care less about anyway. I'm in the car to drive, not stare at.

The exteriors of both are beautiful. We both prefer the 9-3, however. I do stare at the exterior whenever I can.

Both cars have the sport package, his also has quattro. My car handles better, is better balanced, is more composed at speed and, above all, rides FAR better than his A4, which is very harsh.

Stopping and accelerating is a tie. Remember he has a 3.0 V6, and I a LPT 2.0.

Quattro, IMO is way overrated, and probably the only thing that keeps Audi afloat. there amrketing does a wonderful job of convincing peoplae they need it. Hence, everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. (So no one gets bent, I have been through major storms in Subaru/BMW and Audi AWD systems, as well as several Saabs. They perform no better or worse than one another.)

I cannot drive the A4 all that well (I barely fit at 6'8") and the rear seat is a joke. The SS I drive with the seat up a bit, and folks can fit behind me. I have had 4 folks in there fr 8 hours rides with no complaints.

Finally, his A4 cost him almost 36K bucks; my Saab was 10K dollars less. He hated Saabs until mine, and may trade in the A4 for one.
