I thought the article emphasized that the Volvo lower 40 series and the SUV were still Volvos, not re-badged anything else but designed and engineered by Volvo even though the little one uses alot of Ford parts, whereas the 9-2 and the 9-7 are simply diguised as Saabs. We shall see if Saab can make this work. I like the Volvo model better, but Saab isn't big enough to pull it off. I don't see the 9-2 and the 9-7 taking too much away from the pure Saabs made in Trollhattan, but instead adding to the brand awareness and furthering sales.
