It's just a car afterall. I also take care of it, but small marks are unavoidable; if you accummulate a few or get one that's noticeable then just go and get them fixed. No big deal and not noticeable even to you.
Leaving the car in a garage can't be that bad -tip the guy, then you guarantee he'll be careful. He parks cars all day, if he's careful he won't scratch it.
I routinely use the car in downtown Athens, which I'm sure is worse than Newark and leave it in valet garages all the time. Yes it does have some small scratches, but if you have them retouched you can't see a thing. The rims I'll admit to scratching on curbs etc so they now need to be repainted for the 2nd time in 3 years.
Honestly man, you can't keep it pristine and completely unscathed -it's not a painting, it's a car.
