I just read some of the other posts and I'm sorry if this comes off as rude, but I don't understand why you didn't take the Saab. One of the main advantages and joys of the Saab is road trips. If you have a car, take care of it, soup it up etc, then you'll enjoy the opportunity of a road trip.
I have to say however, my bet is that now that you've already been in another car and made it through the relative anxiety of urban driving there, you find yourself taking the Saab next time round.
