I really like the new 6, except for that stupid trunk deck. I understand what Bangle is trying to do, but it is just not handled very well. Where the deck meets the rear fender panel, there is a double bump effect, like a butt, that throws the whole design off. The last 6, preferably an 89 M6 or L6, is still one of my favorite cars of all time, looks like a sedan, but much sportier. Bangle's design has no intention of looking like a sedan, more of a gt car, which has it's pluses and minuses. In a way it is like he combined the 8 series with the old 6 and the new 5. Mercedes I feel has handled the luxury coupe concept much better over the years, but I am not a huge Mercedes fan. Another thing I don't get is why BMW has chosen to make the thing in steel, aluminum, and plastic. Just bite the bullet and do all aluminum, it is going to be the way to go for the auto industry, and I predict that in about 10-15 years you will not see too many steel cars. Just some thoughts.
