Dulcet. Luscious. Creamy. Fancy. Continental. Elitist. Animated. Silvery. Pastel. Fetching. Simpatico.
Other than the word 'Continental' I don't think I would use any of those adjectives to describe any of the new Saabs. I guess I sort of think that while the new 5 design is definitely 'Pleasant' the design seems to be trying really hard to aim itself at people who aspire to the sort of style embodied by someone like Jackie Kenndey. In other words, BMW seems to be moving itself up from the simple clarity of a driving enthusiast to someone who is most concerned with style and trends and wealth, and as such seems to be squarely taking on Mercedes and maybe even Lexus. As such, I find the direction of BMW disappointing even though I can appreciate aspects of the new designs.
