They can call a group III oil synthetic, thats legal, like just about every brand of oil except for Mobil 1 and Delvac 1.
Castrol used to be a real synthetic then they switched to making FakeTec(tm) amd just about everyone else followed that lead. Some consider that whole thing fraud. Why pay such prices for a quazi synthetic when the same money will get you the real thing. It is refreshing to see Rottela (Walmart USA) been sold at prices that reflect the true cost of a group III oil.
Watch the FakeTec(tm) ads on TV. "out performs all other -conventional- oils" Well thats a big deal. All group III oils will outperform all group II oils. Now tell me something that is not misleading!
