Based on virgin oil analysis, we've seen that these two are not identical--SAAB 0W-30 has a much higher TBN than plain-jane M1 0W-30.
I've read that SAAB 0W-30 was initially Elf Evolution SXR, and that it's now Mobil 1 0W-30 Longlife.
