Ryobi used to make a fairly potent electric rechargeable, 12V battery, the works. I have one. I could trim my old house (1/3 acre, fence) with one charge if I did not let it grow. Eventually herbacide was faster than trimming around the fence :-)
Gas ones are way too noisy for my comfort.
