Drove both Linear and Aero yesterday as well...

I got to drive both the Linear and Aero at the Saab Proving Grounds event here in CT. They had a little autocross type course set up, with sraight line acceleration, 2 slaloms, and a road course. It was a nice chance to really push the cars and see what they were capable of. They also had some competitor's cars there (Jetta 1.8T, Volvo T5, Mini Cooper, etc).
I wouldn't get the Linear, but that's just me. The handling was noticibly better on the Aero. The guys running the event mentioned that the Aero has a tighter steering ratio, and the AWD is nearly 50/50 split, wheras the Linear is heavily biased towards the front. The Aero had quite a bit of turbo lag though... seemed like more than I remembered from my friend's WRX. The AWD was fun though. Pretty much my first experience in an AWD drive car and I must say it sure was fun through the twisty stuff.
Unfortunately, all the cars were automatic trannies. I'd be interested to drive 9-2X with a manual, maybe it'd change my mind about the Linear.
